A visit from the Crows

Sunday, March 22nd, 2009

Yesterday, as we were watching the sun set with a glass of wine in hand two crows flew in to harvest some of the birch branches for nest building. They hacked away at the upper most branches of the birch and flew off with their booty.

Angel Island Fire

Tuesday, October 14th, 2008

Two distant images of the Angel Island fire taken from our rooftop in Oakland on Monday October 13, 2008 at 8:50am. At this point the fire was well on the way to being contained, but the smoke trail was still quite visible, extending for miles and over SF. The fire started on Sunday evening, and as of this morning 400 Acres have been consumed and the fire is 90% contained.
